Before starting my actuarial career at KPMG, I worked in BBC radio for almost 10 years and then public relations.

My radio career started aged 11, when I first appeared on BBC Wiltshire, then BBC Wiltshire Sound. I worked at the station for almost seven years, appearing on shows across the output, before moving to BBC Radio Leicester in December 2013. I presented “The Gift of Life“, a BBC radio documentary about organ donation which was broadcast in December 2012 and January 2013 and I’ve even had the pleasure of interviewing the odd pop star or two as well. I’ve been freelance since April 2015, splitting my time between BBC Radio Leicester, BBC Radio Derby and Radio2Funky.

I also have work experience at BBC Radio Gloucestershire, BBC Radio Bristol and on Scott Mills’ show on BBC Radio 1.

As Multimedia News Officer at the University of Leicester, I presented and produced “Expert Comment: Brexit“, a 30 minute programme about expert attitudes towards the EU Referendum, “The PROUD Podcast“, a quarterly podcast about the university’s corporate social responsibility activities, and was the creator, newsreader and producer of “The Bulletin“, the university’s weekly news roundup podcast.
